With over $26 million in residential sales for the year 2000, Martha Gentry’s Homeselling Team has placed fifth in North and South Carolina for Re/Max of the Carolinas.
There are over 1,600 Re/Max agents in the two Carolinas. Gentry has moved steadily up the ladder, having placed in the top 20 in 1998 and in the top 10 in 1999.
“We were thrilled to be in the top five for Re/Max of the Carolinas,” Gentry said. “Just to be able to compete with areas like Raleigh and Charlotte, when our marketing area is much smaller, gives us a real feeling of accomplishment.”
Gentry, who has been the No. 1 sales agent on the Pinehurst/Southern Pines Board of Realtors since 1997, has taken her real estate operation in new directions in Moore County with the implementation of the real estate team concept.
Over the last year, her team has grown to a staff of seven. Diana Barton is the team’s office administrator and transaction coordinator, Lari Dirkmaat is the prospecting and advertising coordinator, Debbie O’Connell is the listing coordinator, and Ernie Kurasz is the field coordinator. Monica Hawke and Ann Benton are the buyer specialists.
“Our clients really appreciate the level of service that we are able to provide with our team concept ,and it has been tremendously successful for us,” Gentry said. “We averaged selling between two and three homes every week in 2000. We have set our goals high for 2001, and we’re off to a great start.”
